Today’s preparation for comps was not as successful as I had hoped. The pile of articles and notes I intended to take to work for lunch hour perusal were forgotten until I was 20 minutes into my commute, so I wrote a post about the TCC workshop instead.
When I got home, I found the latest issue of American Libraries had arrived so I decided reading that would be today’s comp preparation. One of the primary themes in this month’s edition is Green libraries (as in environmentally friendly). This topic goes well with a wiki one of my NSU coworkers, Emily Brown, recently created.
Here’s a library quote from Em:
Here at the library we’re identifying ways to conserve energy and preserve the environment every day at work. Some of them are small things, but we’re looking into bigger ideas and plans.

I hope that if you have an interest you create a wetpaint account and join in the conversation. I just announced this to my department, so I don’t have a ton of participation yet. But I’m looking forward to the brainstorm that ensues!
Oh, and feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested!
